From the 26th September to the 5th October, 2008- “La Estación” Park - Roldán City- Province of Santa Fe –
Roldán, 2008 Roldán’s Ministry of Education, together with the sculptors Sergio Sacco and Emiliano Sacco have organised the 1st International Sculpture Symposium “Roldán City”. Province of Santa Fe- Argentine Republic
Regulations
1º- General Conditions
1.1-The Symposium will take place in the city of Roldán in the Province of Santa Fe- Argentina, from the 26th September to the 5th October, 2008.
1.2-The event will last 9 days.
1.3-The sculptors will have to arrive to the city on the 25th September and leave on the 6th October, 2008.
1.4-The theme of the pieces of work is free.
2º- Selection of the sculptors
2.1-The organizing committee will select 10 national and foreign sculptors.
2.2-Each sculptor will have to send a maximum of two projects of the piece of work he or she will make according to the material chosen.
2.3-Accompanied by:
a) Three colour photographs of his/her last pieces of work ( for the catalogue)
b) Personal Information
c) CV
d) Passport photograph
e) Photograph of the sculptor working
f) Registration form
2.4-The sculptors that are interested will have to send their proposal with the information and the photographs mentioned before the 27th June, 2008, via conventional mail to:

3º- Materials
3.1- The material- which must be marble, wood and metal- will be provided by the organization.
3.2- National white marble. In blocks of approximately 120 x 60 x 30 cm.
3.3- Wood native to the area.Rolls of approximately 40 x 200 cm.
3.4- Metal.Rural scrap for assembly.
4º- Tools and place of work
4.1- The organization will provide a working place of approximately 3 x 3 mts.
4.2- Electricity, a power point of 220 V.
4.3- compressed air
4.5- The place is equipped with: 24 hours Safety, cleaning staff, toilets and a place for resting and having afternoon snacks.
4.6- Fuel and lubricant for chain saw and soldering electrode will be provided.
Each sculptor will have to bring his/her own personal tools.
5º- Assistance
5.1- The organization covers the cost of the culptors' accommodation, from the 25th September until the 7th October.
5.2- The food from the 25th September to the 7th October will be provided by the organization of the event.
5.3- For intenational sculptor:
a)The organization does NOT pay ticket aerial or terrestrial from arrival to the country.
b)The arrival transportation (Buenos Aires- Roldán) and departure (Roldán – Buenos Aires) will be covered by the organization, as well as the transportation within the city of Roldán during the symposium.
5.4- The organization plans to give a little economic help halfway through the event 2100 pesos ( U$S700 approximation).
5.5- Additional expenses such as telephone, bar, accommodation for those accompanying, ect are the sculptor’s financial responsibility.
6º- Tourism
6.1- One of the days- which is to be assigned- will be free for enjoying a day in the countryside and traditional food.
6.2- Sightseeing tour in the city of Rosario.
7º- Prizes
7.1- Certificates and commemorative medals will be issued to all sculptors.
7.2- a) Public’s prize and children’s prize, awarded through direct vote during the symposium (diploma).
b) The organisation can award other mentions if considered appropriate.
8º- Sample
8.1- The sculptors will have to bring a piece of work in a small format (up to 50 cm tall approximately) that will be exhibit in the “International Exhibition of Worldwide Sculptors”.
8.2- The exhibition will be open to the public on the 27th September and will remain open till the end of the symposium.
8.3- The official opening ceremony is going to be on 1st October at 20.00 hs at the function room “República de Italia” situated in the local park “La estación”. Participation certificates will to be given.
8.4- A base of 30 x 30 x 10 cm, and a form with information about the author and the piece of work will be provided to each sculptor.
8.5- The pieces of work shown in this exhibition could be sold by their authors directly to the buyer without the organisers’ intervention.
8.6- The organizing committee stipulated that a local artist with no CV will be selected, this artist will participate in the exhibition and will get the same participation certificate of the international exhibition.
9º- General Information
9.1- The organization will make a catalogue with photographs of the sculptor, his/her pieces of work and CV (supplied by the artist).Each sculptor will receive five catalogues.
9.2- The artist will have to hire and pay for a medical insurance. The organization will provide first aid municipal medical assistance.
9.3- During the symposium, the sculptor will have to be willing to talk to the spectators and the press.
9.4- The pieces of work produced during the symposium are property of the organizing committee.
9.5- A masseur will be available during the symposium.
9.6- The event will take place under any weather condition.
9.7- Each sculptor will have to bring a flag of his/her country to exhibit during the symposium.
